The Singapore Island Country Club

Free Tickets to the Handa Singapore Classic@Orchid Country Club
(9-12 September 2010)
 

One hundred complimentary tickets to the Handa Singapore Classic are up for grabs! Interested Members may obtain your ticket(s) at the Bukit Golfing Reception.

Limited to two tickets per Principal Member on a first-come-first-serve basis.


Quota of Guests
There will be a quota of 8 guests on all courses on Saturday mornings on a first-come-first-served basis.


Revised Green Fee for Weekends
With effect from 1 October 2010, guest green fee will be $250.00 (subject to 7% GST) at the Sime and Island Courses on weekends and public holidays.


Sime Course Half Day Morning Closure
The Sime Course greens will be closed in the morning on Wednesday, 8 September 2010 for verti-cutting and top-dressing. Both nines are open for play on Tuesday, 7 September 2010.

Singapore Open Senior Amateur Championship 2010
The Sime Course will be closed for the whole day from Monday, 20 September to Thursday, 23 September 2010 for the above-mentioned event. There will be no 9-hole social play during this period.

Each SGA Associate Club will offer our Members two (2) complimentary flights from Tuesday, 21 September to Thursday, 23 September 2010. Buggy or caddie fee is applicable and borne by the Member.

Reservation is on first-come-first-served basis starting from 6 September 2010.

Closure of Millennium Course
The Millennium Course will be closed on Saturday, 11 September 2010 for the “Millennium Junior Challenge”.


Tiger Medal
The SICC September Monthly Medal will be played in conjunction with the Tiger Medal on Saturday, 4 September 2010. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners of the Men’s A, B & C Medals (Best Nett) and overall top 3 winners of the Ladies’s Medal (Best Gross).


Members’ Introduction of Guests
As of 1 August 2010, each member is allowed to introduce up to maximum of seven guests on all the four courses on weekdays, and up to three guests on Sundays and public holidays. All guests are to be accompanied by a Member at all times. 


Issuing of Golf Tees
With effect from 1 September 2010, we will not issue free golf tees to golfers at the starter huts.

New Affiliated Club

SICC has tied up an affiliation agreement with Amata Spring Golf & Country Club in Thailand with effect from 10 July 2010 for a period of one year.


Misuse of Club Equipment
Members are kindly reminded to refrain from using the jet-spray to wash their vehicles as it is inappropriate, resulting in misuse of Club operational equipment.

Your kind understanding and co-operation is greatly appreciated.


Single Ball Play at Bukit and New Course
With immediate effect, a single player is allowed to play at Bukit & New Course after 5:15pm.

However a single player has no standing on the course and should give way to a match of 2, 3, or 4 ball.


SMS & Email Notification Services for Golfers

With effect from 1 May 2010, you may be notified by the Club via SMS, email or both if:

  • scores have not been submitted after 1 week from the day of play, or
  • a penalty has been posted to the scoring record

To register for these services, do fill up the "SMS and Email Notification Services" registration form, available at the Golfing Office at both Bukit and Island locations.


Closure of New Course for Improvement Works
New Course will be closed to facilitate improvement works on various play areas, including tee boxes, fairways, greens, immediate (semi) rough, bunkers and the ponds.

New Course Holes No. 1 to 9 will be closed from 2 May 2010 to 10 October 2010.
Thereafter New Course Holes No. 10 to 18 will be closed from 2 October 2010 to 1 March 2011.
