February Gastronomical Delights

Over at the Bukit 19th Hole/Café, Members can savour the Chinatown Roasted Barbeque Combo ($15.00) for a finger-licking delicious meal, which features succulent pieces of pork served with rice and a complimentary glass of green tea.

For a real taste of Peranakan staple food, the Island Swimming Pool Café and Island Bowl feature Nonya Sampler, the decadent Ayam Buah Keluak dish. Priced at $15.90, Ayam Buah Keluak is made with chicken pieces combined with "keluak" nuts (an atypical type of nut that comes with a tough shell exterior but oozes a piquant liquid inside), and is known for its acquired yet robust flavour and taste.

Want a little bubbly to tickle your nose? Pink Love ($5.90) will definitely put you in the mood this Valentine's Day (or any day really if you were to ask us!). This rendition of the classic Bellini cocktail is a mixture of sparkling wine with strawberry puree and roasted Japanese green tea, and is available at both Island and Bukit Swimming Pools Café.
